Charles Clement Holocaust Mosaic Unveiling

In April 1963, Meyer Feldman donated to the Tucson Jewish Community a mosaic designed and created by famed artist, Charles Clement, to memorialize the victims of the Holocaust. This amazing piece was displayed for many years in the Jewish Community Center located on Plumer Avenue. Later, the piece would be part of Tucson Hebrew Academy before coming to Tucson Jewish Museum & Holocaust Center in 2023.

Working with conservators, TJMHC’s team has restored the mosaic’s electrical components and tilework to its original state. And we are excited to have this extraordinary piece of history help welcome visitors to TJMHC’s Holocaust Center.
